Promoting grappling across Kerala through structured development, competitions, coaching, officiating and district-level activities.
The Kerala State Grappling Federation (KSGF) was established in 2020 with the objective of developing, promoting and organizing the sport of Grappling throughout Kerala.
Since its establishment, the Federation has carried forward its activities under the leadership of Binu Joseph, President of the Kerala State Grappling Federation. He currently also serves as the President of the South India Grappling Committee, contributing to the development and coordination of Grappling activities across the South Indian region.
From 2020 onwards, Grappling athletes, coaches and members from Kerala have actively participated in National Grappling Championships, seminars, training programmes and other Grappling activities conducted at the national level. KSGF continues to encourage and support athletes, coaches and officials from Kerala in progressing towards higher levels of participation and competition.
Today, KSGF is actively working towards the development and promotion of Grappling across all 14 districts of Kerala, with a focus on strengthening district-level organizations, athlete development, coaching and officiating standards, organized competitions and a structured pathway for the growth of Grappling throughout the State.
The Kerala State Grappling Federation (KSGF) is affiliated with the Grappling Federation of India (GFI) and functions within its national structure for the development and promotion of Grappling in Kerala. The Grappling Federation of India is recognized by United World Wrestling (UWW) for Grappling in India, connecting the development of Grappling in Kerala with the recognized national and international sporting structure.
Our mission is to promote and systematically develop Grappling throughout Kerala by providing structured opportunities for athletes, coaches, referees and officials through championships, training programmes, seminars and district-level development activities. KSGF aims to strengthen grassroots participation, identify talented athletes and provide them with opportunities to progress from District and State levels to National and International levels.
Our vision is to establish Kerala as a strong centre for Grappling in India by developing a professional, transparent and sustainable sporting structure across all 14 districts. KSGF strives to develop talented athletes, strengthen qualified coaching and officiating, promote discipline and sportsmanship, and create opportunities for Kerala grapplers to achieve excellence at State, National and International levels.
